The little things
Coming back to Korea, to Chuncheon, was (and still is) a breath of fresh air. I had forgotten just how often grandpa repeated the same question and we all laughed—grandma out of incredulity and the others out of good humor—as Daniel joked that he should hang a tag around his neck with his name, age, and major written on it. I spent a few minutes cracking open walnuts after which I was...
Landed at 3:40am ish. Had to wait at the airport until 8:00am for the bus to Chuncheon. Hugged mom when I saw her. Saw the new car. Ate dak galbi. Ate jung ro hwan and other stomach tranquilizers. Took a really really quick bike ride from home to lil bro’s middle school. Chillin’ in front of the computer.
Sitting inside on a computer sweating it out while all the alums party it out and get drunk all around campus. Wahoo.

being a nomad
First I stay in one of my frosh friends’ room then these rando assigned girls leave their stuff in the common room so I have no room to sleep. Then I move to spelman and I get kicked out Tuesday/Wednesday-ish because the roommates are back along with some alumni. My stuff is getting kicked out along with me completely on Saturday because one of the spelman roommates is having 14 people come...
woke up at 6:30am today to catch a 7:17am train. went alone for the first time to new york. picked up passports and visas from the Chinese consulate for Erin and myself and mailed Erin’s to her home address via FedEx. Walked around 5th Ave bought shorts (gasp Isabelle wears shorts? no. I won’t be wearing these until I lose the cellulite that has taken over my lower body this past year)...
A walk
I took a walk. A two hour walk. Around the campus, through the campus, outside the campus. Just me, alone, by myself from 7:30 to 9:30pm, till it got dark. I had my iPod with me and after losing my own pair of earphones it had been a while since I used the little music gadget. Today I found out my grades were and if you couldn’t tell from my previous post, I was mad. Disappointed. Angry. And...

Moving out
Today was the official move out day. It felt strange to see my room stripped bare. The mattress was back to its original checkered pattern of blue and white. The desk and drawers were once again empty. The walls that were once adorned with taped receipts and daily schedules were now clean slates, waiting for another to come. After getting all of my boxes moved (with the help of Jennifer, Richard,...
LAST FINAL OF THE YEAR IN 30 MINUTES
Hectic day
Woke up at 6:45 am to get ready to catch the 7:47am train to New York. Once Erin and I hit New York we headed straight to the Chinese Consulate and there was already a giant line of people waiting for their visa or passport to get processed. When we came out it was around 11:30 am so we started heading for Saigon 48 to eat pho. But on the way there we came across 5 Napkin, which is a gourmet...

Wow. I didn’t even know that California changed governors. I thought it was still good ol’ Arnold. Maybe I should read the news more often..
Two down, two to go
CLA 216, ARC 242 out of the way now. ECO 101 tomorrow which means after enjoying my late meal until 3:00 pm it’s crunch time until the time of the test, Tuesday 1:00 pm. If there was one thing that I remember from Ms. Brown’s class junior year, it’s that you’re wide awake the day of pulling an all-nighter and its’ the day after that you crash. Thanks, Ms....
That awkward moment
when you’re in a two-stall bathroom with another person and you’re both going #2. There’s tension in the room as we wait to see who will crank out the toilet paper and flush first, both not wanting the other to see them. Or maybe it’s just me. Henh.
zomg first final tomorrow

A little bit of Coltrane along with a 700 calorie pretzel and 50 pages of notes in front of me. This is the good life. I don’t feel tired at all. Strange.
