Girl you nasty
Even though I go shopping five out of seven days of the week I’m wearing bum clothes and sweats. Can’t help it if I got classes all morning from Monday to Friday. Sigh.
Get off at the next exit
I always strove for a perfectly planned life. In high school I have done this. In college I am doing this. In the future I will be doing this. Et cetera, et cetera. It makes life a lot easier and guarantees some cushion in case one of those unexpected things happen. It’s easy to see from this that I covet convenience. And yet, so many times I see quotes and inspirational figures that promote...

Things to accomplish
Since I haven’t done this in a while. Due after spring break:
1. -5 lbs & start getting in shape 2. Study mad hard for midterms 3. Don’t fall asleep in classes 4. Daily QTs 5. (During spring break) a NY trip to go eat, shop, and take pictures with my new beloved Minolta that is to arrived in the next few days. 6. STOP TEXTING

A break from Princeton
I went to a mall 20 minutes away from Princeton. Fortunately I restrained myself until the very end, when I came across Gap. There I found two shirts and bought them (at final sale so I can’t return them) for a total of $21.00. Another good deal of the week.
Flip flops
The Fat Monkey, or Macaco Gordo, was designed by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman to coincide with the 2010 Pixel Show, held in Sao Paulo Brazil. With the help of local art students, the inflatable base is covered in 10,000 flip flops and is over 45-feet-long.
Once again
I guess I’ve forgotten that I go to Princeton. Got rocked (hard) by a math quiz and now frustrated and wondering why I’m here. I shouldn’t complain and failures should be just reminders to try harder. But I can’t help but feel like I’m inadequate (surprise, surprise). It’s at moments like these that I wish that I could have chosen the 5 year arch program because...
Oh where oh where
This morning I left for my first class with a bagel and banana. When I looked for it after class, I couldn’t find the banana. I don’t remember dropping it and I looked around me and below the desk but it could not be found. The mystery of the missing banana. Yikes. Hope it didn’t go missing in a room, though it might be easy to find it in a few days if it is.

Blogging on a daily basis
I want to make a photo journal on my tumblr and actually blog about the things that happen to me. My digital camera is sufficient but I guess I want either a dslr or a manual camera with macro lens so that the pictures have more depth. Hopefully I’ll win the eBay bid or else I’m going to have to beg my parents which will only be possible if I get a grant to Princeton in Beijing. In the...
Minolta SRT 201 + three lenses for $32.00. I better win this bid.
So cute… I think I want a baby now
Yesterday
I must say though it wasn’t the most productive of days, yesterday was by far one of the best. In the morning I went grocery shopping to H mart with Joe, Tanny, and Jenn. We decided on kimchi jiggae, kimchi bokeumbab, and samgyupsal. That day there was a special event. In the middle of the meat section there was a giant pig carcass the insides of which the butcher was tearing out. I asked...
mindfull
After posting that long quote from Ashton Kutcher (of all people) I remembered that I haven’t posted a long entry of my own in a while. Though I hate forcing myself to talk when I don’t feel the particular need to, I think it will be a good break to just reflect, rewind, and refresh—not just on the trifle details of life, of doing this or that at this or that hour, but on...
Food for Thought from an Unexpected Source
I was shooting a scene in my new film, No Strings Attached, in which I say to Natalie Portman,
“If you miss me. you can’t text, you can’t email, you can’t post it on my Facebook wall. If you really miss me, you come and see me.”
I began to think of all of the billions of intimate exchanges sent daily via fingers and screens, bouncing between satellites and servers. With all this texting,...
I feel like I’m running just to stay in the same spot. I’m working so hard yet every day more work piles on. On a brighter note, though, I called dad to say Happy Birthday. He had forgotten that today was his birthday. He couldn’t even eat mee yuk gook because he had to leave early for a meeting in Seoul. After calling dad I called mom to make sure she had made it. Grandma picked...

Apples to apples
I just took one of my weekly Chinese tests today. There was a translation section where I was supposed to use the word “apple,” which as many of you know is pingguo 苹果. The second character I knew. The first one took a while. I wrote two versions of that character at least five to six times before finally picking one. On the left margins of that quiz: “apples apples apples...
I don’t think I have quite appreciated tumblr humor until now. Now everything’s just too funny.
