If the thought of adding volume to hips sends you running scared, fear not – the peplum’s ability to flatter may just surprise you. We usually picture peplums as being either attached to skirts or attached to jackets worn with skirts, now there’s no limitations!

thursday & friday

Thursday was a fun day! Since Ben Hong was in New York for his brother’s graduation, we decided to meet up for lunch. Daye also joined us and we sat together for a lunch at Spice, a Thai place at University Place x 13th. Did some chatting, catching up, Ben didn’t have a great time since he ordered a dish that turned out to be the one dish out of the three he ordered (the last time he was at the place) that he didn’t like. Afterwards we went up to 55th street to claim our reserved bikes and went biking through Central Park. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and the weather was sunny but had enough breeze to make the hour ride enjoyable. After our time was up we returned the bikes and headed to Cafe Bene in times square and ordered a waffle + drinks. Then Ben took the subway back to wherever he was staying and Daye and I ended up going to Sephora where I restocked on cleanser and bought a new mask! (which I tried on the white man actually… his first time!) Then I went back to Princeton where I got to study study study…whoo.

Then Friday. Oohhhh friday. What went down was that i woke up late and studied until around midnight. What I had promised Jarred was that we’d go out for Charter Friday (at Princeton there are eating clubs, which are 1. places to eat for upperclassmen who have signed up or bickered for these clubs and 2. places to socialize/drink/dance. Charter is one of them). I was close to backing out but he said NO YOU’RE GOING. So I did. It was mad crowded. Played first beer pong and lost miserably to Jarred’s frisbee captain and his friend. Felt bad….whoops. And since I didn’t want to drink he had to drink all of the nasty watered down beer. Again, m’bad. And then we went to the dance floor and saw some of the Manna seniors who were obviously done with finals (made me think what the heck I was doing there). A guy in a white bunny suit was walking around and dancing. I also saw Steph Char, who I didn’t expect to see (but i guess she was probably thinking the same thing about me). A girl with mad pointy heels stepped on me at one point and later I realized that my toe was slightly bloody. Anyway. As we were walking back to our dorm, there were two guys who were walking in front of us. Then one of them started to trickle out some fluid from his left side. Near where his junk was. I thought, ‘no, he couldn’t be…’ and then I saw him zip something up and grin to his friend. Yep. He did. That was the highlight of my night. haha

So. All that playing aside.

Two finals. Tuesday & Wednesday.

Gotta buckle down now.
